Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your driver/guide. Begin your birding adventure by exploring the botanical gardens in search of a variety of bird species. Overnight at The Boma.
Day 2: Bird Mabamba
An early start as you head to Mabamba Wetlands for a boat trip, with the chance to spot the mighty Shoebill and many other bird species. Return to Kampala while birding en-route. Overnight at The Boma Entebbe.
Day 3: Bird to Fort Portal
Travel westward to Fort Portal with birding stops along the way. Explore the Sebitoli area for birdwatching opportunities. Overnight at Mts. Of the Moon Hotel.
Day 4: Bird Kibale National Park
Bird in Kibale Forest, a prime location for chimp trekking and forest birds. Look for species like Narina Trogon, African Emerald Cuckoo, and Yellow-billed Barbet. Overnight at Mts. Of the Moon Hotel.
Day 5: Bird Bigodi and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Bird at Bigodi Swamp before heading to Primate Lodge Kibale. Continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with birdwatching en-route. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 6: Bird Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive/birding session followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Spot various bird and wildlife species during the cruise. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7: Bird Queen Elizabeth National Park
Bird in the Imaramagambo area around Lake Nyamusingiri. Look out for Pink-backed Pelican, Black Bee Eater, and Snow-capped Robin-Chat, among others. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya.
Day 8: Bird to Bwindi
Head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, birding en-route. Keep an eye out for mammals like Uganda Kob, Buffaloes, and Elephants. Dinner and overnight at Engagi Lodge.
Day 9: Bird Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Embark on a full day of birding in Bwindi, looking for species like Black-billed Turaco, Mountain Masked Apalis, and Red-faced Woodland Warbler. Dinner and overnight at Engagi Lodge.
Day 10: Gorilla Trekking
Today is dedicated to Gorilla trekking. After the trek, rest and enjoy your evening at Engagi Lodge.
Day 11: Bird to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, birding en-route. Look for species like Augur Buzzard and Crested Francolin. Enjoy an evening game drive for more birdwatching. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 12: Bird Lake Mburo National Park
Spend the whole day birding in Lake Mburo National Park, looking for a variety of bird species. Enjoy a boat cruise to spot the African Finfoot and more. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 13: Drive to Entebbe
Morning birding in Lake Mburo National Park, followed by an early lunch. Continue your journey back to Entebbe, birding along the way. Overnight at Central Inn.
Day 14: Departure
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure, concluding your 14-day birding and gorilla adventure in Uganda.
