Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and your professional English-speaking driver/guide. They will transfer you to your reserved hotel for refreshments and a briefing about your 15-day tour.

If time allows, you can go for an evening birding walk around Entebbe Botanical Gardens or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center to spot various bird species such as cormorants, herons, kingfishers, parrots, and more. Overnight at your chosen accommodation in Entebbe.

Day 2: Mabamba Wetland – Lutembe Bay

After breakfast and with packed snacks, head to Mabamba Bay Swamp and nearby birding spots. Mabamba Bay Swamp is renowned for its diverse bird species and is a crucial breeding area for rare birds like the Shoebill Stork. You may also spot Lesser Jacana, African Purple Swamp Hen, Reed Warblers, Pygmy and Spur Winged Goose, African Marsh Harrier, Rufous Bellied Heron, Great Knot, and more.

In the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 3: Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive westward to Lake Mburo National Park, with a stop at the Uganda Equator for a memorable photo opportunity and informative talks. The park is home to over 315 bird species, including Crested Francolin, emerald-spotted wood dove, brown parrot, barefaced go-away bird, and more. After lunch, embark on a birding walk and potentially spot the rare African finfoot, shoebill, African fish eagle, and other birds during a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Overnight at your chosen lodge in Lake Mburo.

Day 4: Guided Walk and Boat Ride

Enjoy an early morning birding walk in Lake Mburo National Park, seeking out bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, Harlequin Quail, Red-faced Barbet, White-headed Wood Hoopoe, and more. After lunch, take a boat cruise on the lake, where you may encounter African Finfoot and other bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, known for its remarkable bird species and home to approximately 350 bird species, including the African green broadbill, Shelley’s crimsonwing, and more. On arrival, you can participate in the Batwa cultural tour for cultural performances and storytelling. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation in Bwindi.

Day 6: Full Day Bird Watching in Bwindi

Embark on a full day of bird watching in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a rich birding destination. Species to search for include Jameson’s Antpecker, Pink-footed Puffback, Crested Guinea Fowl, Waller’s Starling, Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird, and more. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking

Today is dedicated to gorilla trekking. After an early breakfast, head to the park’s information center for pre-trekking briefings. You’ll then embark on your gorilla tracking adventure, an exhilarating experience. You’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures. Afterward, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En-route, enjoy a game drive through Ishasha sector to look for tree-climbing lions. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Full Day Bird Watching in Queen Elizabeth

Spend your day bird watching in Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to over 600 bird species. Some of the species you may encounter include the African mourning dove, swamp flycatcher, African skimmer, and more. After the birding excursion, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Start your day with an early morning game drive to spot various wildlife. Later, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer to Semuliki National Park


Transfer to Semuliki National Park, a haven for birdwatchers. This park boasts around 441 bird species. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for relaxation. In the evening, go for an introductory birding walk to get a feel for the park’s environment. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation in Semuliki.

Day 12: Morning Bird Watching and Transfer to Kibale Forest

Embark on a morning bird watching walk in Semuliki National Park, searching for species such as Maxwell’s black weaver, African piculet, blue-billed malimbe, and more. After the walk, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation in Kibale.

Day 13: Full Day Bird Watching in Kibale

Enjoy a full day of bird watching in Kibale Forest National Park, known for its diverse bird species. Keep an eye out for species like the Green-breasted Pitta, Red-chested Owlet, and Grey-winged Robin. After a day of birding, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 14: Morning Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Embark on a morning chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. Later, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, where you can explore the world-famous falls and continue bird watching. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 15: Morning Game Drive and Return to Entebbe

Start your day with an early morning game drive to spot wildlife in Murchison Falls National Park. Afterward, transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience. Later, proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or spend another night in Entebbe or Kampala.
