Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon your arrival in Kigali, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari guide/driver. After a comprehensive briefing about the safari, you will proceed to Rwanda/DRC. Continue your journey to Goma and enjoy a city tour of Goma, where you can witness the effects of the recent Nyiragongo eruption. Spend the night at Lac Kivu Hotel.
Day 2: Nyiragongo Volcano Hiking
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge. You will then be transferred to Kibati Village, where the real adventure begins. Embark on your hike and reach the summit in the late afternoon. Marvel at the lava lake throughout the evening before settling into your tents on the rim of the colossal crater, high above the vibrant lake. Overnight at Cabana at the Rim.
Day 3: Departure to Kigali
After a nourishing breakfast on the volcano’s summit, descend to Kibati Village. From here, you will be driven back to Gisenyi in Rwanda and later to the airport for your departure flight back home.
