Day 1: Pick-up from Entebbe Airport / Kampala – Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala, you will be met by our English-speaking driver guide from Wild Terrain Africa. Your guide will provide a briefing about your upcoming 4-day wildlife safari to Kidepo Valley National Park. After the briefing, we’ll embark on a road journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, located in the remote and semi-arid region of Karamoja.
During the drive, you’ll pass through the scenic Luwero Triangle. We’ll make a stop in Gulu town for refreshments and lunch before continuing our journey to the park. Upon arrival at Kidepo Valley National Park, you will check in at your chosen lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kidepo Valley National Park – Morning Game Drive to Narus Valley – Visit Karamojong Communities
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive to the Narus Valley. This valley features vast grasslands, distant mountains, and serves as a permanent water source for the park’s wildlife. Narus Valley offers excellent game drive tracks where you can observe a wide range of wildlife species, including Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, cape buffaloes, oribis, Rothschild giraffes, reedbucks, cheetahs, and ostriches.
After a half-day game drive in Narus Valley, return to your lodge for refreshments and lunch. In the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Manyatta communities of the Karamojong tribe. The Karamojong people are nomadic pastoralists known for their uniquely constructed houses called “manyattas,” which are built in a traditional African style. During your visit to the Karamojong communities, you’ll have the chance to learn about their culture, art, crafts, and enjoy traditional entertainment, including songs and dances. This cultural experience will be both educational and captivating. Afterward, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kidepo Valley National Park – Morning Game Drive and Hot Springs – Visit to the Ik People
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning before embarking on another exciting game drive. This morning, your game drive will focus on searching for more wildlife species, including elephants, herds of buffaloes, various antelope species, zebras, bush pigs, black-backed jackals, bat-eared foxes, African hunting dogs, caracals, lions, and even the possibility of encountering leopards.
Following the morning game drive, you’ll visit the renowned Hot Springs, a remarkable natural feature that provides an opportunity for memorable photographs. Later, you’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the Ik people, one of the most isolated communities in Uganda. Your visit to the Ik people will include a charitable component, allowing you to contribute positively to the local community.
Dinner and an overnight stay will be at your chosen lodge within Kidepo Valley National Park.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park – Drive Back to Entebbe International Airport or Kampala City
On the final day of your safari, you’ll have an early breakfast and prepare for the return journey. We’ll start the drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or to your residence in Kampala. Along the way, we’ll make a stop to enjoy lunch.
This marks the conclusion of your 4-day Kidepo Valley National Park Wildlife Safari, which has provided you with a unique and authentic African wildlife experience.
