Day 1: Pick-up from Entebbe International Airport / Kampala – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park – Hiking to the Top of the Falls
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala, our team will welcome you and provide a briefing about your tour. We’ll then embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park in northwestern Uganda. En-route, a stop in Masindi town for refreshments and lunch will be made. Continuing to the park, you’ll have the opportunity to hike to the top of the falls. Here, you’ll witness the incredible power of the Victoria Nile river as it rushes through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular natural display. Afterward, check in at your chosen lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park – Early Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise – Evening Game Drive*
Begin the day with an early breakfast, preparing for an exhilarating morning game drive. This adventure offers the chance to encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including predators like Spotted Hyenas, Lions, and Leopards. You may even have a glimpse of the renowned Big Five: Lions, Leopards, Cape Buffaloes, and Elephants. The drive will also bring you face-to-face with various mammals, from the elegant Rothschild’s giraffes to Oribis and Jackson hartebeests. After the game drive, return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a memorable boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This cruise offers a unique perspective, allowing you to observe numerous hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, and a wide array of bird species. The boat will take you close to the base of the falls, providing a captivating view. Following the cruise, refreshments will be provided before embarking on an evening game drive. This drive will focus on spotting nocturnal creatures such as Spotted Hyenas, Leopards, Lions, and other animals preparing for the night. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning Chimpanzee Trekking – Return to Entebbe International Airport / Kampala
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart for Budongo Forest Reserve, where the chimpanzee trekking experience takes place. Here, you’ll receive a briefing about the trekking guidelines. Embark on a guided forest walk in search of chimpanzees. Along the way, you may encounter a variety of wildlife, including birds and other primates like Olive baboons, Black-and-white colobus, and Blue monkeys. There’s also a chance to spot nocturnal primates that are active during the night, such as various forest galago species. Your local guide will provide informative insights about the forest’s inhabitants.
Once you locate the chimpanzees, you’ll have up to one hour to observe their behavior and movements in their natural habitat. After this memorable experience, return to the starting point and then drive to Masindi town for refreshments and lunch. Later, embark on your return journey to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or to your residence in Kampala, marking the conclusion of your 3-day Uganda safari to Murchison Falls National Park.
