Just like with gorillas, you get to spend a full hour with these chimps when you find them. The price of chimpanzee permits varies depending on where you go.

Game Drives: If you love seeing animals, go on game drives in savannah national parks during the morning, evening, or night. You can spot famous animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and zebras. Some great places for game drives are Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park.

Birdwatching: Uganda is a bird lover’s paradise with over 1050 bird species, hosting 10% of all the world’s birds. You can go birdwatching in different spots like Bwindi Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Semuliki National Park, Rwenzori Mountains National Park, Mount Elgon National Park, and Kibale National Park. For the best Uganda safari experience, plan your visit during the dry months from June to August and December to February. These times have lots of sunshine and are great for seeing wildlife. But during the wet months of March, April, May, and October, heavy rain might make roads bad, and it could affect your gorilla trekking adventure.
